Arts Alight programmes are designed to develop skills in literacy, art, music and drama, increase knowledge and understanding across the curriculum and promote inspiration and enjoyment for children at KS2.

 The  workshops menu consists of a wide a range of topics  each with its subjects, key skills and learning objectives clearly summarised, allowing you to easily select a workshop which will best fit the needs of your children.

 All sessions are designed to be adapted to Y3/4 or 5/6 phases, or can be delivered to a mixed KS2 group and some are suitable for children in Y2.  Through prior discussion, Kate is very happy to tailor her planning to meet the specific needs of a class. The timeframe of each workshop is  also adaptable within the range stated in the menu so that you can select and extend work to fit  a required number of days.

 Kate is an experienced KS2 teacher with a track record of outstanding progress for children in reading and writing, and  a passion for enabling progress through the creative curriculum. She has a comprehensive understanding of the needs of both children and class teachers and is happy to provide assessment of children against the key learning objectives, at the end of a workshop.  All workshops also produce an outcome in terms of a piece of artwork or performance, which can be kept as a record as well as shared and celebrated with the wider school community.

 Most workshops can be carried out at normal supply rate, paid through e-teach; however some may incur a small additional cost for materials, which will be invoiced separately, if the school does not have them in stock. Key resources are also noted on the workshops summaries.  Workshops booked independently are charged at £140 per day.
